Public display of affection

I was terribly shocked as I pushed Gab for a walk around the neighbourhood yesterday. A little girl, aged about 2, came running forward, screaming “Baby!” Before I could even react, she was already touching and hugging my boy! And she was almost about to kiss Gab when her mother pulled her away. Tsk tsk… Girls these days… aren’t they a little too warm?

Alas, my son seemed to enjoy all the sudden affection and he was cooing away happily!!

Swimming

After talking about it for sooo long, I finally brought Gabriel to the pool today. This little man enjoyed himself so much that I think swimming will be a regular affair from now. (I hope so...)

Humpty Dumpty

Gabriel had his first fall yesterday... from the bed. Those who had seen my recent bed purchase would know that my bed is very high!!

I thought that he was alseep and sneaked off for a shower. As I was about done, I heard a loud thud. Wah I tell you, my heart was in my mouth that minute. I rushed out and saw my little Humpty Dumpty on the floor. The poor boy wailed his lungs out and I just feel so so bad for leaving him alone. Sigh!

Lesson learnt: Never leave a child unattended on the bed, whether he is alseep or not. Now I've got to monitor him closely over the next few days for signs of trauma.
