History Repeats Itself

It's the end of the S'pore Idol Season 2. I've not been really watching it this time round. Somehow, there just seems to be too much hype over the contestants. They seem to be everywhere!! At road shows, charity shows etc. The organizers try too much to make the whole competition seem more glamourous.

Anyway, history has repeated itself again. First it was down to 3 final contestants - 2 male and 1 female. Then the female gets eliminated, leaving the guys (one Chinese and one Malay). Then after much 'intense' competition, one gets booted out beause the winner seemed to have more community support...

My aunt had initally wanted to call to vote for Johnathan. Luckily I advised her against it and saved her some money.

Diet Plans

In view of my diet plans, I went jogging at MacRitchie yesterday. The last time I ran must be at least 1/2 year ago cos my legs are 'mildly' aching today...

What's worse! In my attempt to take a short cut along the dirt tracks, I landed in some muddy mangrove thingy and had my shoes and socks totally soaked in mud!

Talk about being a klutz and my diet plans.. tsk tsk.

New phone!

Some things start depreciating the moment you purchase it, such as car and mobile phones. I recently realized that my resale value of my HP was only $50!! Wah!! When I bought it some time ago, it was about $500+!

So, in order not to let my phone depreciate any further, I decided to trade in my old phone and get myself a new one! I was eyeing on the N72 cos it was PINK!! Dunno why I'm been wanting to get myself a pink phone... nice!

Alas, that pink phone would cost me $500+ . Actually, I was only looking for a phone with FM receiver so that I could listen to music while travelling. So, I decided not to be stupid anymore (since it would all depreciate pretty fast anyway) . I just bought the phone that best suited my needs and it cost only $238!! I guess I can use the amount I saved on some clothes and food.

I'm so wise.. Haha..

The preparations

It's official! With approximately 3 months more to go, the preparations have finally started. I'm sorting out the songs, the food, the guest list, the invites, the furnishings all at once. Talk about being efficient and the STRESS that comes along with it. Haha..

Anyone with cheap and good photographer to recommend? I'm desperately in need of one right now.

Hall life -- How I missed it

Was clearing my room to get rid of the rubbish I've accumulated over the years when I came across a video clip thingy that came along with the hall magazine.

As I was viewing the video clips, all the memories just came flooding back to me like it all happened yesterday. I could remember my first night in hall with Amelia and her 'hostile' room mate who keep asking Amelia to put her bedsheets!! Then there was orientation, rag, buaya week, IBG, comm meetings, lantern festival, Hall 3 games, IHG, Hall production etc etc. Then there was the occasional ponding, weekly supper sessions, shopping sprees at Clementi NTUC... They were all so fun! I must have been a part time student and full time Shearite!

I wouldn't trade all these experiences for anything else in the world. Dare to reach the highest!
