Where do babies come from?

Children are fashioned tenderly
by God's great hand of love.

Then reaching down, He gives us

these blessings from above.

If Gabriel were to ask where he came from next time, maybe I'll tell him Jesus left him at our doorstep one day...

Obsessed!

I think I'm obsessed with taking pic of Gab and posting them up. I guess it must be due to the lack of photographs of myself when I was growing up. No harm taking pictures now, since they're all digital anyway (provided my hard disk doesn't crash on me before I burn them into a CD!). There's a picture of my boy, the happening punk... hahaa.. what a bad mother I am!

My Yellow Boy

My boy has got a bout of jaundice (as can be seen in Pic 1)... though not serious enough for admission into hospital for the UV treatment. Finally managed to get some sunlight this morning, hence Pic 2 shows him being a less yellow.

Think he is not much of a sunshine boy... he cries almost the entire duration of his suntanning session, much to the disappointment of The Husband. Hahaa.

Other than that, I'm getting along fine. NO MORE PEE BAG!! My movements are more mobile now without it. It certainly wasn't a fun experience...

Side Effects

Epidural is not so fun afterall... I hadn't been able to pee after I discharge. It was only after a check with my gynae that I realised that not being able to pee is not funny at all. He ordered me to rush to the hospital to get myself fixed with a urine bag, threatening that I would need surgery if my bladder burst!! Sounds scary eh!

So here I am now with this urine bag lugging behind me. This is motherhood at its most unglam moment! And I'm expecting guests this weekend. How?? Where can I hide the bag?!

Sigh. Hope that all will be alright after the bag is removed on Monday and I'll be able to pee on my own again. Think this bad experience is enough to put off future pregnancies for some time!

I've been promoted!

Gabriel decided to come out 10 days earlier than the planned 30 Nov, and he certainly did it in style by giving me an approximate 22 hours of labour!!

The first 18 hours was baaddd... seemed like my back was going to break with the on and off 'sng-ness' feeling. And I wasn't even anywhere near delivery after suffering for that 18 hours! In the end, my gynae had to induce me. Fortunately everything went really fast after that. The pain was gone too, all thanks to the wonderful invention called epidural! It must be a mother's best friend!

Anyway, I'm home now and slowly adjusting to my sleepless nights... keep me in your prayers!

No more school!

No more school for me! I'm officially on leave! Yes yes, talk about right timing... everyone enjoying their school holidays while I got to take maternity leave! At least my 'holiday' is gonna be till next year, much longer than my other counterparts! Yeah!

No more school means no more nice pictures taken on my way to school. Above is another one which I took recently. See the ray of light penetrating through the clouds? Nice!

Cute?

Ain't this picture cute???

Wonderful Encounter

Attended a wedding on Saturday and sang a hymn that brought back many wonderful memories from my secondary school days. The good old days... Anyway, here's a picture taken with the bride some ions ago.

Wonderful Encounter

He came to me, inspired me with this song
He gave these words so I could write them down
He lifted me, and filled me with His love
The joy I get, each time I sing this song

Chorus:
Wonderful encounter with you
Each time I sing my praises to you Lord
You've opened up my heart, and filled it with your love
And now I'll like to pass it on

I thank you Lord, for taking care of me
You've lightened me, from all my misery
And now I want to sing this song out loud
For the world to know, you've made a change in me

Chorus

Just open up and reach out to the Lord
He's always there whenever you need care
Don't be afraid pray and you will find
With every word you'll find some peace of mind

Chorus

Permanent Damage

I've heard stories about how bad it can be so I decided to be careful and take precautions right from Day 1, thinking that I would not be a victim of it. It was going on very well until yesterday when I saw it! I was totally horrified!

I've not been spared! Like most of the world's women who had given birth, I'm now a victim of STRETCH MARKS!!! Boo hoo hoo! My stomach will never be the same again and I'm so sad about it!

Gangster

I've often commented how some of my students walk like gangsters or Ah Bengs wannabe and would make them walk 'properly' if I spotted any of them walking that way.

Today, 2 of them came up to me and said that I walk like a gangster!! ^$@(&@
No my dears, its just that my tummy is getting into the way.... I am not a chao Ah Lian!!
