Huat Ah!

Happy New Year folks. The lunar new year came and went in a flash. It's my last CNY where I can really spend the entire time with my family, people whom I've celebrated this joyous season all my life. Come next lunar new year, I'll have to shuttle between his and my relatives.

And I'll not receive anymore red packets from next year! It didn't help when every relative reminded me of this sad fact just before they gave me one this year. Yes yes.. I know. But if you really want to give it to me, I'll still gladly accept it =)

My luck this year has been good! I won $20 in one sitting of a BINGO game!! And another net profit of $1.10 (haha) in the Black Jack. Lady luck is shinning on me. Come on everyone, let's shout 'Huat Ah!'

Happy New Year

It's been a quiet preparation for new year so far... don't feel the festive mood at all. The only time I felt it was when we had the 'lao yu sheng' in school on Wednesday. Talking about it.. they prepared the 'yu sheng' without any salmon, carrots or radish! It was just the pre-packed 'yu sheng' package!! But it was fun!!

Hope the coming few days will be more exciting...

Syron again

It's almost 3 weeks since school started. I'm slowly getting used to my new class. Not too much complains about them for now, except that they can't really control their mouths very well. Every opportunity they have, their mouths wil be opened! Sigh. It can get rather noisy.

I saw some of my last year's students today. Of course there was Syron... Didn't change much.. still acting cute.. I saw him again in the afternoon while his class was having PE.

Me: Syron, why are you sitting at the side?
Syron: I don't want to play.
Me: I think you put on weight (over the holidays), Syron
Syron: Keeps quiet, smiling to himself
Me: Do you know the meaning of put on weight?
Syron: Nods his head and blushes.

It was the first time I saw Syron blush! Haha. It was so cute!

I've been fooled!

That's it! I must be too nice to people. Once again, I've been the target of the joke. My colleagues (at least 4 of them) have ganged me and played a stupid joke on me about me being in Red Cross.

I feel so stupid. I should have played along with them and not over-reacted. Dumbo!

School has started

School has started for the new year. It's been a bad week for me. My system can't get used to waking up at 5.45am every morning. Everyday, I come home and immediately try to crawl under my blankets to make up for the loss of sleep in the morning!!

I'm on MC today.. Yes yes, it's only the fourth day of school. I've got this terrible cough and I can't teach. Figured it's better to stay home than to spread the germs to everyone.

Anyway, that's NOT the main point. One of my collagues sms-ed me just now and told me that the CCA list is out... and I'm in Red Cross! OMG!! Scouts (my CCA last year) was already bad enough but now they put me in charge of starting a brand new CCA - Red Cross ?!

I can only hope that this colleague of mine is bluffing me.. Wait till I get back to school on Monday to verify the facts!

Happy New Year! It's the new year! Gosh! Time flies so fast! I'm one year older! Oh no, oh no! That's such a sad thought...

It was a fun fun fun trip! Two crazy girls let loose on the streets of Bangkok! I've never been so mad over shopping before... Well, the things there are really cheap! What a waste not to buy them, right?

Below are some pictures from the trip. It seems very small... but that's the best I can offer for now.

My uncle who is working in Bangkok was kind enough to drive us around for the day. What better way to spend the weekend than to go bargaining at Chatuchuck? Here's a picture of our purchases at the end the day's trip. OMG! And that was only Day 2!! Can you imagine how much we both bought and spent? Hahhaa..

What do you think is inside this nice little box? Cakes of some sort?

They are actually chicks which my uncle bought from Chatuchuck!
