Some (more) scandal

Hear ye! Hear ye! I've more scandal to share! (Yes, yes.. I'm talking about you gals)

I collected my keys from HDB yesterday. Was rather disappointed cos the floor area doesn't seem to be too big even though its an executive flat. Plus the fact that some of the rooms are rather odd-shaped. Trying to fit in suitable furniture would prove to be a real headache later on.

The only place I'm pleased with is the balcony. Rather roomy for some flora and fauna... and it's rather windy too. Hope its not due to that fact that it just rained earlier in the day.

Anyway, there were 'some' defects so I've sent the keys back to HDB for repairs. I wonder if they'll be able to complete them in 2 weeks as they said.

My 'kampung' neighbourhood. I feel it's rather kampung style as the flats are in a oval shape facing one another. This is 1/4 of the oval shape you're viewing.

If you're keen on 4D, here's some golden numbers to try your luck.

View of the outside world from one of the rooms.

HDB must be thinking that young people these days won't have the time to cook thus explaining the small kitchen.

The bomb shelter (aka store room) door that refuses to close.

My odd shaped master bedroom. Think it'll be a challenge fitting in the furniture!

This master bedroom toilet is much nicer cos it's blue in colour. The other toilet is pink! Yucks!

In love with Syron

One of the challenges I face everyday is to keep the whole class walking together in 2 lines (I'm not even talking about 2 straight lines) within the school. Most of the times, only the front portion of the class are able to walk together. The rest of the children will be walking in one big swamp, like some mafia gang. Then there'll be the occasional one or two walking way too fast (running to be more precise) in front of me.

Today I was talking to Syron about his walking speed.

Me: Syron, why are you running? Walk with me.
Syron: I cannot. If not people will think I'm in love with you.
Me: (Stunned for a moment... trying to think of something to say) Syron, I don't think I'm in love with you. And I'll never be cos I'm your teacher.

Sigh.. kids these days.. don't know where they learn all these nonsense.

Much to do about nothing

Its been a long time since I last posted.. but even longer since K2 last posted! Hee hee. Anyway, been busy these days. Busy with what?? I am also not too sure.

Just finished 4 days of PSLE marking. An ignorant friend of mine thought the teachers are also on school holidays during these 4 days. Please!! It's a local exam set by MOE, so its natural that MOE will make use of its staff to mark the papers right? I felt I was like a production worker.. and it was terrible feeling like a robot. Mark, shade, sign... mark, shade, sign (Repeat for 4 days) Better not divuldge too much, or I may get sued under the Official Secrets Act!!

I went to this chinese singing cafe (called Mu Chuan aka The Ark) yesterday. There was a guy playing the drums!! Wah!! So stylo and cool... now I want to learn how to play the drums too.. but I doubt I could make it with my two left feet. Will probably end up with noise instead of music.

Shall end off here.... Exams are coming!! Arghh... 4 more days!! I hate exams!

I'm a klutz indeed!

I'm indeed a klutz. I walked into a wall at home over the weekend! Hahaa... I know no ordinary person would be able to attain this level of clumsiness, especially at home. Even I'm not quite sure what happened or what I did.

Oh well, at least I have a swell on my forehead to testify. And it hurts a lot!

Charity Carnival

My school organized a charity carnival in conjunction with children's day yesterday. It was such a tiring affair cos most teachers worked double sessions... plus the tremondous amount of preparations before the event. I'm just so glad it's all over.

I was in charge of the roving vendors. The children had to dress in costumes (wolf, bee and chick costumes) and walk around the school to sell snacks or stickers.

My other colleagues in my level was in charge of busking... we had chinese dance, silat, skipping, taekwondo etc. My favourite was the ballerinas! The girls were soooo graceful and cute!! And they were so girly!! There're just the kind of girls every parent wished they had and the kind that would make little boy's heart melt! Hahaa.. How I wanted to kidnap one of them home and add to my Barbie doll collection.

Getting dressed up for the performance

Here's my favourite! She's got such white and porcelain complex that it puts me to shame. Check out the advertisement in her hands. Even that's so girl...

A pose before the dance commences to hype up the anticipation

Getting ready to begin the dance. Don't they look cute and graceful?

The ballerinas in action

Not to be outdone... the Chinese dancers... there's even a boy in the dance! A thorn among the roses.

Pictures of my class

I'm very proud of my classroom because it doesn't look like the normal kind we used to study in. I spent an entire Saturday earlier this year painting the walls to make the classroom more cosy.

Below are some pictures of my class and students taken during the children's day celebrations.
